One day, a customer asked if we had the Tica Seaspirit Overhead Reel reel in stock. He then shared his story with us: about 7 or 8 years ago, he got his first Tica Seaspirit. Over the years, he admitted he hadn’t taken great care of it, barely maintaining it at all. Yet, this reel remained a reliable companion for every fishing trip his family took.

This reel helped him land many big catches, proving to be incredibly durable and dependable. He remarked with heartfelt appreciation, “Even if you don’t give it special care, it still can do many great works.” It wasn’t until recently that the reel finally broke down completely. 

Moved by his story, we reached out to Tica and worked to secure a limited stock of Tica Seaspirit SS348R. It’s not a new model but comes with a charming vintage mechanical Line Counter.

The ultimate big game reel, Tica Seaspirit SS348R/C Line Counter overhead reel  designed for true deep water fishing. Featuring 5 rust-resistant, shielded ball bearings and 1 roller bearing as well as a wind level, this versatile reel can be used for applications ranging from trolling to any kind of bottom fishing. The SeaSpirit is also equipped with TICA’s unique line counter and an easy-to-use, quick-release side plate, making servicing and quick spool changes a snap. The easily removable side plates and lightweight graphite frame round out this series in what TICA is proud to call the “Sea Spirit”.
